They share the seas and sandy shores with us… seven species of sea turtles swim in oceans around the globe; six are on the endangered list. The lifespan of a sea turtle should mirror humans; they are capable of living 50 to 100 years. Sadly, perhaps the greatest threat to their continued existence is us. Turtles are found with illnesses caused by pollution, damaged shells and flippers caused by boats, hurting tummies from eating plastic and hooks, and other painful issues. Sea Turtles are poached. Nesting sites are disturbed, and entire nests are lost. Help us change the statistics! Shelly Cove® donates 10 percent of net profits to The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Surf City, North Carolina. Donations help support the medical treatment and rehabilitation of sick and injured sea turtles. Shelly Cove® also supports a selected turtle hospital or conservancy monthly. We believe together we can do a better job of being responsible partners to these amazing creatures.
